Includes 2 sun gears and 4 spider gears. These are the all gears used internally in one differential. They generally wear well, however as you differential gets older or has leaked all the fluid out from a damaged seal you will see wear on them prematurely. If there is excessive wear the differential will not perform consistently. Take a look at the gears and see if you can see a smooth tooth surface, if you see any cupping or even missing sections on the gears, they will need replacing. If you are in a pinch you can add an extra shim behind the spider gear to get rid of excess slop.
